Business Development Manager

We are Surrey’s largest local lifestyle magazine publisher. We are looking for an experienced salesperson who is locally based and has a sales background, ideally in media and publishing.

We have a vacancy on a flagship market-leading products, The Guildford Magazine, for a self-starter, who has a good knowledge of Surrey businesses and an understanding of how the local commercial community works.

Salary & Benefits:

  • Excellent commission package (uncapped)
  • First year OTE £35-40,000 and with career progression this rises to £50,000 +

Responsibilities:

  • Generate new leads and create revenue by offering advertising solutions over the telephone and in-person
  • Maintain existing client base by making regular meetings and area visits
  • Generate and introduce new business and industry groups to the company
  • Build rapport with clients for long-lasting business relationships
  • Maintain client database with updated information

Candidate Profile:

  • Confident self-starter
  • High energy and enthusiasm to excel
  • Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines and targets
  • A good knowledge of Guildford and the surrounding areas in Surrey
