Diamond Jubilee Street Parties
Putting on a party?
This year’s Diamond Jubilee should be the cue for a glut of street parties, bringing that patriotic carnival atmosphere back to the neighbourhoods of Richmond.
Here at The Richmond and Barnes Magazines all of us are looking forward to celebrating 60 years of Good Queen Bess II with our friends and neighbours.
Here is our pick of the best sites to help you set up your own Diamond Jubilee festivities:
Take a look at Richmond Council’s list of closed streets during the Jubilee weekend;
The Diamond Jubilee website for more information about the celebrations;
The Department for Communities and Local Government for advice on organising street parties;
Street Party, a great guide to street based activities, or Have A Field Day, which encourages you to take your Jubilee party to a field.
We love to celebrate what is going on in our community, so be sure to send your photos to web@sheengate.co.uk.

Hi there, please could you let me know if there is a way of finding out which streets are actually having parties in the SW14 area.
Many thanks
Jessica
We do not know as of yet, but applications are still possible until May 18.
We do know that Richmond looks set to have the most Street Parties of any borough in London and we will get specific information up as soon as we receive it.
so 1 week to go, do you have any info or any link to a venue site? I’d have thought you or the council could have published something by now!
Apologies for the delay, the council had extended its deadline for street party applications. We will endeavour to get any information released to you as soon as we can.
