Richmond Theatre 

Richmond Theatre is one of the region’s leading arts and entertainment venues, regularly showcasing the best West End and touring productions. Indeed, the 1899 building on Little Green is an attraction in itself, designed by celebrated theatre architect Frank Matcham and used as a movie location for films such as Finding Neverland and Topsy Turvy. Orange Tree Theatre, Richmond

“A pocket sized National Theatre” is how Michael Billington described the Orange Tree Theatre in Richmond. London’s only permanent theatre-in-the-round, it is now superbly housed in a former school opposite the Orange Tree pub, where it all began.  In its 40-year history, the theatre has been committed to providing a platform for new writing, foreign work and rediscovered plays, and its 172-seat auditorium constitutes a truly distinctive performance space. The Lyric, Hammersmith

The Rose Theatre, Kingston  

The Rose is named after the Elizabethan Rose Theatre on London’s South Bank. Championed by Sir Peter Hall and broadcaster David Jacobs, Kingston’s Rose near the River Thames includes a thrust stage and capacity for 899 audience members on three sides. Since its opening in 2008, it has presented many classic productions with a host of leading British actors including Dame Judi Dench, Celia Imrie and Timothy West.
